Why Tracking Actual Effort is Important.

Why Effort? Before getting to far along in this discussion, let it be known that when I speak of effort, I am referring to hours and not story points. I am sure that  while there are plenty of real world agile teams that have successfully implemented story points, I have over five years experience with dozens of working (not fictional) teams and have yet to see one implement story points effectively. Before you bombard me with hundreds of true stories of story point nirvana, please wait as I plan to address this in the future in another post.
